“AH AM NOT BEIN’ A SILLY FILLY!” Arkansas gasped at the voice yelling. That was her mother!

Applejack backed up on her hooves but her face remained angry and stern. She sure didn’t like acting like Bloom’s mother…but boy howdy this was a revelation. “He loved me, Applejack…he did…”

“Apple Bloom he’s a swindlin’ no account cheatin’ lyin’ piece a’ garbage who ain’t worth the fur his flank is made of!” She shouted, “And you had a filly with him! I can't believe yer JUST tellin' me this!”

“Ah did have a filly with'im! And ah would’ve stayed with him and come back with him!” Apple Bloom sobbed, “But we both knew you wouldn’t understand! You’d string’im up and Big Mac’d keel-haul him!”

"And we’d be in the right! He’s twice yer age!” Apple Bloom snorted. “What was it, Apple Bloom? Was it the white streaks in’is hair? The singing? The nasty slimy attitude?!”

“You don’t gotta insult him no more, Applejack, okay!?” Apple Bloom choked a bit as tears flowed down her muzzle. “He’s gone fer good. Black don’t know’im so no harm no foul.” Applejack’s face softened as her sister sniffled. “In a perfect world Applejack, it’d be me’nFlim’n little Arkansas Black livin’ with y’all in harmony…but that ain’t gonna happen. So why should I have even tried, huh?” Applejack lowered a hoof, looking sheepish.

“Apple Bloom…y’know ah love you an’ yer kin…but…you were right…ah can’t let that snake on mah farm again. Guess y’did make th’right choice.”

“Guess ah did.”

“Y’know ah love you, right? Right?”

“Yeah ah know…I promise…ah just…miss’im…”
