That One

Lightning looked up from his curled protective position. He hated the pound. Hated it. He was beat up every day. Fancy, they called his, posh, celebrity who had no business being with real dogs. On another problem for the dog he was not a pup and not a friendly happy go lucky dog like a Labrador Retriever or something like that so no one wanted him. The poor dog was doomed to die.

A day before the needle he'd received another beating. He looked up as the light of the door revealed a human figure. Immediately his tormentors jumped up and barked excitedly, looking sweet and kind. Lightning knew better. He just waited for this young girl to pass him by.

"That one in the back? What's his story?" Lightning lifted his head. She was talking about him.

"Runt, the other dogs beat him up," the dog catcher said, "He ain't got a good temperament, not like some of these dogs."

The girl walked up to the bars. She smiled sweetly. Lightning looked up at her, ears perked waiting for her answer. "He's the one. I'll take him."

I'm on a Lil' Lightning obsession right now XD This is his story after 101 Dalmatian's 2 ends. He's such a cool character. And so cute! ^^
